WATCH OUT!
We've officially entered our last trimester! It seems like it was 10 years ago when we were told we were pregnant, and now, only 13 weeks left. Which I'm sure will feel like another 10 years. But its exciting nonetheless!
As for the pregnancy, I just got the green light to go ahead and eat another 350 calories a day, can I get a whoot-whoot! So bring on the deliciousness that desserts have to offer. No I'm not going to get my extra 350 cals from a bag of veggies, or more fruit.....I'm going to get it through the old fashion way, sweets!
Two things new this week, that's all ready really beginning to get on my nervous are nosebleeds and cramps. Wtf, is up with the nosebleeds? I asked my dr after my third one and was like, ok, explain what's happened to me. She said I don't drink enough water. Well obviously, but isn't a nosebleed a little over the top? So, I guess I need to up my water intake. So much for my strategy of only peeing once every 2 hours. And how are you suppose to do this. They want you to have fruits (70% water), veggies (80% water), milk, juices, and 8 oz of water 8 times a day. I think a great invention that I'm going to patent, would be a portable toliet that can go with me everywhere and fits in my purse, but doesn't keep all the waste.
As for those cramps, I remember my friend Heather telling me about this. So I wasn't shocked when it happened and didn't call the dr for this one, but HOLY CRAP, they suck. When you get those cramps in your calf, you know the point and flex ones. And your legs tenses up, you can't move from your knee down, and you feel like it would be less painful just to cut it off then go through this cramp. Yeah it was one of those, 3 times this week. 2 on the right leg and one on the left, all 3 different nights, but all of them between the hours of 2am and 4am. gotta love being pregnant.
So there is the update, last trimester we're here! Lets get this show on the road huh? Next dr. appt is february 12, so I'll write you all then and keep you posted.

week 25
What a busy week its been! Ultrasounds and doctor appointments. Not to mention me going back to work, as well getting Kim ready to leave on his big deployment January 20th.
Dr appts went very well. Baby's heart rate was in the 150's. My fundal height was 25cm. getting bigger and bigger. My weight gain is offically 20 pounds (and gaining). Blood pressure was great (for a kirk) 117/98. The baby is getting stronger and made it known that he's not to thrilled with dr. appts. With all the poking and prodding, he really acted up. I could have done my fetal kick count (count how long it take for him to kick 10 times) in 5 minutes. This guy was not happy with being pushed around. Even the dr made a comment of how much he moves. It reminded me of hurricane kirk which made landfall March 30 1983, you guys may know him as Brent Kirk. Its become of my favorite things to do; to sit back and do my fetal kick count. It create such a calming peace as you just lay back and say, "ok gavin, kick away, I'm counting."Anxiety and tension is starting to seep its way into our home. Kim's upcoming deployment has us all in a bit of a panic. Nothing unusal with an upcoming deployment. But there are all these "what if's" running back and forth in our brains. I know you can't live your life with "what if's" but what if we didn't? would we be prepared for unpreparable? So...he doesn't wanna leave, I don't want him to leave, and even Crash is beginning to act up. May just be our feelings of saddness and anxiety rubbing off on him. Anyways, that's the update for week 25. Check back towards the end of January for the next doc appt update.
