week 37

So Sunday started week 37.

We had a dr. appt today......fundal height: 36cm, current weight gain: 36 pounds, baby's heart rate: 170's (he was really excited, or really pissed off), and the bestest news....my cervix is 50% thinned out. So 50% more to go, then 10 cm and BABY! I'm walking Crash like a demon for the next 2 weeks. My next dr. appt is April 15th and I want to walk in there and her be like, "HOLY CRAP, you're gonna have a baby, you're at 8cm!"

Sooo.....went to that breast feeding class. if you're reading this and you're pregnant and going to tripler DO NOT GO TO YOUR BREASTFEEDING CLASS!! It was awful. They showed all these movies from the 80's where woman were like "look at my breasts it doesn't bother me"....ok times have changed. And they went hard-core into how "skin to skin" is so important and essential to a baby's life. Ok, I'm not going to lay around naked with my baby, that's just weird. I think its cute when daddy's lay with their baby's on their chests, but no I'm not going to sit there boobies flying all over the place so I can have skin-to-skin with the baby. I told Kim he's in charge of skin-to-skin. What was worse, was how they made me feel. I'm not going to lie, I was totally disgusted watching these videos. And the lady doing the class was like, "Don't be disgusted, this is perfectly natural. If you're disgusted by any of this, there must be something wrong because this is how its suppose to be." Ok biyotch, are you telling me I'm a bad mom because I'm not going to lay around naked with my baby??? It was disgusting and awful and totally turned me off of breastfeeding. I'm going to do it because I know how important it is for baby and how much more it benefits baby. The lady also told me the best time to introduce the bottle to baby is at 4-6 weeks. So After that like 6th week of life, I'm going to start pumping and breastfeeding, but much more pumping will be done than actually attaching baby.
Ok, so now that i've got that off my chest, I'm excited for our labor and delivery tour tomorrow. Kim and I are gonna do the preadmissions and all that jazz, which will hopefully make arriving in labor much easier.
So that's the update. Am I a bad mom for being disgusted by boobies, boobies everywhere? Maybe, but I know that my husband will step up to the plate and do the skin-to-skin that is necessary for a happy secure baby, and I will step up to the plate and be the cow.

a few more great pics

Kim made himself his very own laz-e-boy of sand!
check out those arm rests!

Kim buried Crash in the sand. Crash didn't even noticed, he was too busy with his stick.

week 36-Spring Break!

"mommy and daddy I don't wanna leave Hawaii"

week 35

34 weeks and growing

33 weeks pregnant

I can barely fit in the driver's seat of the Chafee helicopter!

Hey all you Spring breakers in bikinis and running up and down the beach! I have one thing to say to you....I hope you get pregnant!

So what am I going to do with my spring break? I am going to sit around and be as pregnant as I can be. I do have a couple of things to do....but for the most part, I'm going to sit around in sweatpants and a sports bra and be pregnant. Sure I plan on going to the beach with Crash and eating girl scout cookies, duh! But for the most part, I'm going to get off my feet and relax, as much as possible at 36 weeks pregnant.
I have my breast feeding class this Friday, yeah for boobies! It should be educational. And a dr. appt on Monday, March 30.

Kim last weekend went to a Daddy Boot Camp. And yes, they had the strap on belly there. Kim did not put it on, but another guy did. And Kim said, that the guy just complained, "man, this is heavy" and "dude, can I take this off, my back is starting to hurt?" and then to make things all that much better, they put a 5 pound ball in a little pouch on the belly which pressed into the guy's bladder. Ah! Justice is done!

Anyways, enjoy the pics, write again next week.
